Spanish Embassy in London

INTERIOR DESIGN SALA LUIS VIVES, PUBLIC COMMISSION 2012

Our proposal for the interior refurbishment of the Luis Vives conference room at the Spanish Embassy in London aims to provide a slick background to the various events that are often held in the grade I listed building of the Embassy.

Set as a multilayered backdrop where different functions can unfold, a series of textile layers together with parallel lacquered panels and a raised wooden stage cleverly conceal the integrated facilities and storage required. A sculptural chandelier organizes the space while providing three different types of lighting in order to adapt the lighting levels for the different events.

Location: Belgravia, London
Client: Spanish Government, Ministerio de Exteriores
